Disposables for long-term ECLS
Compactness, integration and mobility: the concept of the CARDIOHELP life support system is also incorporated in the specially developed disposables. The HLS Module Advanced represents a pioneering integration of an artificial lung with a ventricular assist device and was designed for long-term use for cardiac support and/or respiratory assistance.
The HLS Module Advanced is part of optimally designed disposable sets, each available in two sizes to suit the different areas of use: HLS Set Advanced 7.0 and HLS Set Advanced 5.0 . These sets are easily and rapidly docked onto the CARDIOHELP life support system and are immediately ready for use and patient sizes.
Two software versions and two disposable sizes mean that the CARDIOHELP life support system can be adapted to the specific requirements for extracorporeal life support (ECLS). Additionally the HLS Set Advanced is designed to make priming easy, fast and safe. For cannulation the new specially developed HLS Cannulae can be inserted percutaneously or with a surgical cut-down. The arterial and venous cannulae are available in a choice of sizes and insertion lengths.
